How do you write Markdown ?

Well, those you use Github may have certainly experienced Markdown syntax.

Actually, since I use Github, I use to write my whole *.md files by hand (text and syntax highlighting), testing the rendering on Github before publishing.

I guess that's what the most of you are doing. And it wasn't a matter because Markdown syntax is quite simple.
But when you have a very long file to write, it sometimes turns out to be a mess...Especially when I had to write a long article as a blog entry...
Since I discovered MarkdownPad (I'm on Windows).
Just wanted to share, and ask if they were some others tools that you folks were using.

I have afavour for off-line tools, as I am sometimes disconnect for a long while.

Vim does syntax highlighting on markdown. When I don't see the different colors, I know something is amiss. That's pretty much how I do it.

Well, I'm on Windows. But good to know there's alternatives on Mac, though.
