I'm getting poor Fps, but it looks great! I tried creating a tile randon genworld game before, failed miserably.
try canvas, if not using already.

okay first off(bugs):
1.you can get stuck in a block add so you not can place blocks on the players hitbox
2.the water system is bad needs some more work
second off (the good stuff):
1.the game seems stable
2.it shows potential
ideas:
1.power and machines
2.gas masks and a gas biome
3.bigger worlds
4.mobs
5.explosives
also i would love to join the development if didn't already have a game project
also Terraria and Minecraft does not focus on machines and high tech stuff so you could focus on that if you wanted to, that would make the game more unique

1. Yeah, I needed to fix that ages ago.jjmafiae wrote:okay first off(bugs):

2. How can I improve the water system?
1. Thanks, yeah, a lot of time was spent stabilizing the game.
2. Thanks
1. Power and Machines - Maybe, but you'll have to start from scratch with machines, for example wind-mills and then move on to electricity.
2. Maybe as a Easter Egg, pointing towards The Nuclear USSR.
3. World can get infinitely big, I just forgot to set it to a bigger world.
4. Yeah, as soon as I finish the NPCs, I'll work on Mobs.
5. FUCK YEAH!!!!

If you mean you are getting 30 or 60 FPS, it is because I have V-Sync enabled, otherwise I could burn up your graphics card. As for canvases - No. I don't want to limit my game to newer PCs.Sodium wrote:I'm getting poor Fps, but it looks great! I tried creating a tile randon genworld game before, failed miserably.

GPUs that have DirectX 9.0c (shader model 3.0) support in Windows will likely support both Canvases and Shaders in LÖVE with OpenGL. It's been nearly a decade since SM3.0 hardware first started appearing.
