GijsB: can you download this test thing and see if you get the same sort of issue? I'm trying to figure out if your problem is caused specifically by the bloom shader itself or by the combination of it and the rest of Snayke.

Slime, just to warn you that the osx build (that I thought kind of "official" ) you linked don't works for me. Regular updated Snow Leopard here. Details here

Ok, next question: does this work? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4214717/snayketest.love
It's snayke but the background is grey and doesn't change (I disabled the code that uses framebuffers to draw the fancy background and replaced it with that simple thing), bloom is still there though.

Version 2.2 has a redone menu as well as a resolution selector and other minor changes. I also fixed a small thing in the bloom code that may or may not fix your issue GijsB, but it's a long shot.
You'll also need the latest version of LÖVE 0.8.0 again, some things in the love source code were fixed as well.

I have a song dedicated to you slime... I feel every words till the end of video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eHARZPc ... re=related
so "I'm So Sad, So Very, Very, Sad" and also "We hate you please die" ;)

So then please when you will get me a new (non-crashing) compiled mac build so I can test the most sexy good-looking snake ever? :D

(Just kidding, I will later go to win virtual machine just to try test snayke).

My feelings are crushed! I am now compelled to delete all my code and forum posts and go cry in a corner. :P

The Mac frameworks for love are anjo's responsibility, and he's been swamped with school work recently I think, so we'll have to wait for that. I'm fairly sure I managed to get my custom builds to work with fullscreen in Lion by compiling the latest hg verion of SDL myself, but I don't know what's involved in fixing the other issues.

Ah ok, you use Lion, you adapted for it, so perhaps that's why it's not working in my snow leopard. By your screenshots I saw you were using osx and so being mac too hardware "standard" couldn't understand why it runs for you and not for me. Let's give Anjo his time, we have all time (we wish) of the world. :)

Anyway If my VM holds I will try start doing 0.8 tests in Win.

You should add some particle effects when you collect dots.
