OK, here's the deal - people seem to really like this game, but so far it was played by only about approximately 100 people, which seems to me like a terrible waste. I've set up an IndieDB page>

Image

I am in the process of trying to get this published on Desura, which means however that I have to shoot a gameplay video, for which I am gonna need a new laptop and since I am moving again, this may take me a couple of days, but I hope it will work out eventually.

What I would like to ask you all is: Can you please help me to spread the word a little about this one? I would like more people to know about it. It seems that they would like it, but nobody simply doesn't know that it exists. I would be really grateful for however you could try to let other people know!

For example, if you could drop a line to people over at IndieGames, that would be awesome. Their e-mail is editors@indiegames.com or this it their Twitter and this is their FB. They could write something up and that would be really awesome.

You can link people to my website: http://www.mz1net.com/wake-up-call/ or to the IndieDB game page (http://www.indiedb.com/games/wake-up-call-surrealist) when you want to point people towards the game.

Thank you very much!

Also, thanks nixola! I'm glad you liked it.

I won't help spread it, that just seems wrong somehow, no offense but it's against my morals (maybe if you caught me a week ago I would.)
I have an i7 and can probably record gameplay at 720p24 if you need, though.

By all means, it's up to you, that's cool. As about the video, if you would manage to record something, that would really help me out!

Just wanted to let you guys know that Wake up call has been released on Desura this weekend:

It's doing nicely - many people rate it 10/10, many others 8/10, while there obviously are 1/10 as well :)

Also, here's a Let's play video somebody did on YouTube. It also goes through the whole game, so people can use it should they get stuck:

Hi,

For an unknown reason, the changing window caption makes the game run VERY slow on my computer (high end, on linux with gnome 3). It displays thing like 700 fps but is unplayable in reality.

Disabling it makes it smooth again, you should consider removing the setCaption.

I can play it know :)

Thanks for the info, I'll make sure to remove it in the next update.
