Re: Spacing out
I tried playing the latest version. When I select new game I see this:
I hope that helps!
Wow, that's odd, it's working now...
Code: Select all
Error
ui.lua:82: attempt to index field 'landed' (a boolean value)
Treaceback
ui.lua:82: in function 'drawbase'
main.lue:78: in function 'draw'
[C]: in function 'xpcall'
Wow, that's odd, it's working now...

Re: Spacing out
That's because the code that checked whether you have landed on the platform is awkward. It uses three different variables to determine if you have landed:
player.landed (holds the planet you landed on)
ui._landed (same)
ui.showlanded (holds a time starting from one second since you last landed on a planet, to make sure things don't flicker.)
When you are on the platform when the game starts, one of the variables is not inited yet (because of the order of which ui.update() and player.update() are called). Thus only happens sometimes, but it will be fixed in the next version.

Re: Spacing out
Me too!
I liked these guys:
... camera stuff, eh?
Does this support particle systems? (I'm thinking about the starfield, in case it is not obvious enough)
I liked these guys:
Code: Select all
love.graphics.push()
love.graphics.translate(w, h)
love.graphics.scale(graphics.zoom, -graphics.zoom)
...
love.graphics.pop()

When I write def I mean function.

Re: Spacing out
New version!
But not all is well in the land of Space. The auto-nav is broken. It perfectly steers towards its goal, but I can't figure out how to let the ship slow down when it arrives (without cheating).
Also, there are some new hidden features. As always. Why do I even bother saying this? KqzoPhr.
