Here are some graphics I did for a strategy game called badlands (this is where my avatar came from). This game has been scrapped so if you want to use any of these for whatever reason please feel free. The files are adobe eps files and include 4 characters (not animated) a mars style dome base and a "cryo-tube". There is a basic palette and scale comp for developing other characters as well.

Are you the copyright holder on all of that? If so, what license are you publishing them under? (If you want something like Public Domain, you can say you publish the resources under a Creative Commons Zero dedication.)

Yes I'm the sole copyright holder. How about attribution, or is that a faux pas?

Not at all, CC-BY is great. It just seemed to me that you entertained the (worryingly) popular belief that if something's not used, it is automatically in the Public Domain.

Nope- they are mine. I've actually done a bit of research on public domain content and derivative works. I did some work on a ccg that used public domain illustrations by Gustav Dore (and others). In fact if someone wanted to create a visually rich game (i've thought about it many times) it's possible they could use his illustrations, of which there are many.

Anyway I've included an attribution license in the zip file and put the content here for the badlands characters:

cool and thanks for the aware-of-things license answer.

I would add them to opengameart, but am kind of confused by the eps format. anyways, here's a preview of the stuff for people who were too lazy too dl :)
