entitlement issues? if people have problems with holding release date then they shouldn't have made an release date in the first place.
unless we get a crap ton of features instead.

Why do people always seem to complain about their free stuff not being fast/good/fun/anything enough?
IT'S FREE. You get what you pay for (not to say that there aren't good free games/tools on the Internet, or that TechcoreStudio is lazy/bad/whatever).

You know, I'm pretty sure Techcore is very busy right now, and everyone can wait a bit for a solid IDE, right?
EIDT: 500th Post!! Woooohooooo!

Agreed.
Making an IDE is not easy at all. I am on the same boat as TechCoreStudio. Making a good IDE is not easy at all. This is, without a doubt, not another vaporware.

At least, having choices will be good. That makes 3 Lua / LOVE IDEs so far that I've noticed: XHH, gamesquareIDE, and ZeroBrane.

ZeroBrane works on the Mac.

I think he meant this IDE(which looks 100x better then ZB IMO).
Sock, maybe consider using WINE when this comes out? It works with most Windows apps, but at the cost of having it look like Windows. I wouldn't complain though.
It takes time to make
anything good. Whether something is free or paid doesn't come into the equation right now. You want to write a song? It'll take you a few months(depending on time, but you get the point). Want to write an IDE? It'll take a while too! You can't just make something for a release date. Usually, games have a release date because that are in a 99.5% finished state. Then all the developers have to do it fix up a few bugs in time for the release date(which is usually a year ahead, so they can fix the majority of the bugs). Personally, if something is past it's release date, I think it's going to turn out better. There'll be less bugs and more time put into it.
