You should use [wiki]love.system.openURL[/wiki] now that we have it ;)
lf = love.filesystem
ls = love.sound
la = love.audio
lp = love.physics
lt = love.thread
li = love.image
lg = love.graphics

Oh wow, yes I should!

@Ulydev, thanks, I think I fixed it now. But I'll use love.system.openURL in the future - didn't know this existed!

Thanks Nixola!

Released new version.
The server now runs on http://germanunkol.de, which is much faster than the raspberry pi I was using before.

Get the game at:

Happy trAInsporting!

Your game seems to require a text editor to be installed. I think that is a hindrance. Many people who are gamers probably only have notepad installed so this may be a barrier for entry. The advanced players probably will use their preferred editor but the ones who are not advanced probably would prefer it to be included in the game.

I recommend three editors in the first tutorial. I want the user to be free to choose, not be forced to use an editor. Also, I'd have to pack a different editor for every OS, which would be a pain - Sorry, I think I'll stick to just pointing out that there's some cool free editors online.

The other interesting idea would be to have an in-game text editor :3

Edit: sorry bobbyjones, i misunderstood your post :v

Amazing game! I love the implementation of code to control it, great idea. I just wasted a few hours toying around with this... Which is more time than I've spent playing any game in months. Kudos and congrats on your success.

Code: Select all

if self:hasBeer() then self:drink()
else self:getBeer() end

Thanks a lot, guys! :)
I'm really glad people are liking it. Sorry for your wasted hours, Beelz :P

Sorry @bobbyjones, I misunderstood as well. I thought you meant that I should include some free text editor.
Well, writing a good text editor is very hard (line breaking, placing cursor when clicking in the text, copy, paste, text-selection, just to name a few). I doubt I'll have the time (nor patience) to do this... But if there is ever a great in-Löve-editor around, I might integrate it. Definately not any time soon, though, I'm very busy this semester. But thanks for the idea!
