The keybinding idea isn't bad, and might well creep into a later release, but for the 'I don't have a ~' problem, it seems like a shotgun to kill a gnat. How about I just shift the console to Enter/Return? Pretty sure everyone has those (and if they don't they can't use the console anyway!)

As for the buy/sell thing, check the '?'/'help' instruction in the console. It gives you the format for doing exactly what you want. The format is buy <n> <x> e.g. buy 5 s. I put it in the first day I put in the console for exactly the reason you suggest (i.e. it was painful buying 3 shields at once). Currently, you still have to guess how far off your gold/capacity limit you are (i.e. 'buy 100 s' buys *nothing*, but gives you a warning instead - could be friendlier)

In addition, like most console apps, you can use up/down to get to the last command as well (added for the same reason). I have yet to add the appropriate 'autorepeat' to the delete, or to allow movement of the cursor in the console, but these struck me as 'low priority' considering I still didn't know if my game was going to be played by anyone but me.

The up/down for prev./next entered command i knew, and was indeed happy that you included it!
As for the buy/sell, looks like i just got the order wrong then, silly me :3
And yes, return would seem like a button present on at least most keyboards.

Okay folks, new version now up. Lots of improvements - some subtle, some not-so. Love's ability to alter the pitch of all sounds has proven quite useful. I've got to do something about bullet tunnelling at some point so I'll probably fix that before implementing the final 3 spells or planned level changes. If anyone has any requests, please let me know!

[Edit - and uploaded yet another version! Vaults are now in. They contain super-powerful spells]

This is really well made. I decided to download it and check it out, and 30 minutes just disappeared. It's clean, it's difficult, it's fun.

For those who care, my Gamasutra article on Spellrazor is here: http://gamasutra.com/blogs/DeneCarter/2 ... lrazor.php

And there's a new version with all spells present, and two new creatures.

Now that you have an itch.io page, could you make it pay-what-you-want? That way people can still download it for free but we can also throw money at you :P

Edit: Also, could you add a .love download on the itch.io page for the linux users?

So, the way my releases go, I usually give away the .love first (to family, friends and this forum) via the Mediafire link at the top of this thread. I do that a couple of days in advance of the main releases to ensure I've not made one of my *many* goofs and nuked something vital. I could add it to itch.io as well, I suppose. Hadn't considered it.

As for making the game 'pay what you want'? That's a tricky one. On one hand, my plan is to use Spellrazor as a calling card. On the other, if something is totally free, people assume it's valueless.
