LÖVE

Ö is more commonly used in handwriting than in digital, print or typewriting. It's especially common among older people (50+), not sure why.
Ø is the official Norwegian character, and is therefore an own character on our keyboards, and is the character taught in school.
In Norwegian Ö is often not even considered an own character but a different glyph of Ø, which is not strictly correct.
