BTW I think this is somehow done in a incorrect way. People who don't check associated mail regular (and 72 hours isn't much for those who check week by week certain mails) or don't receive LOVE admin will suffer.

Anyway detecting fake users around in last days as I said in other thread is so simple, no need for this compulsory request.

They have a whole weekend to check their mail. And if even if they do lose their account, it's not a big loss.

Yeah, you right, loose the account after all isn't so bad since they haven't any posts. However is annoying they to have to register and setup profile again. Do they have to choose another name and email too?

They can use the same name and e-mail to register again.

Losing a forum account that you've never posted in and could easily reproduce if you had to in less than 2 minutes is FAR from "suffering".
