JJ, let the guy decide what he want's in his game. For example, I love Sonic the Hedgehog, but that doesn't mean I want his game to have him in it. It's fine just the way it is

EDIT: I think the airships and stuff seems like a great idea!

just to say, it seems cute, but i don't like the different size of pixels between background and character..
Big huge pixels on the BG is not bad, i kind like the look "minimalist" , but the character should have same sized pixels IMHO.

Yeah, I'm going to redo the character, I don't really like how it turned out.

+1! Maybe open a poll for the name if you can do that(With a selection of names, and maybe an "Other", for people to reply with names and if you like them add them to the list)?
