Christmas is coming up.

Minecraft is the best $20 I've ever spent. If I somehow lost my Minecraft account and they jacked the price up to $100, I'd probably pay it.

I think that Volley Brawl made it pretty big in the ubuntu software center.

I think mari0 is making it pretty big, although Maurice isn't really from this community.

Very true, he's been getting a lot of hype, but there hasn't been a product or demo release (the one here got taken down.) I've been following his blog :)

There has, however, been a release of Not Tetris 2, and that got a fair amount of exposure. I know of people who haven't heard of LÖVE who play NT2. :p

Anyway back on topic, didn't the LÖVE minecraft server get shut down because of a RAM issue?

No, we just invaded a huge server (with permission of an admin). We just left because we lost interest. I was serious about the barbarians too.

I'd been following it too. He's shown off a LOT of stuff so far on the Screenshot Marathon page. 21 days of nothing but animated GIF's and videos of all the cool features he added so far. The physics look so accurate to the original too. I can't wait to play it and look at the code. It's a shame he doesn't participate in the community here.

*goes back to his own platformer engine project even though it's extremely unworthy in comparison*
