Insead, you don't need to create event system, maybe you will want to animate your widgts. I take the example of JQuery/jQuery UI

I'm and have been stuck at this problem: http://love2d.org/forums/viewtopic.php? ... eui#p27794

Anyone know how I can draw antialiased arcs while supporting transparency? Both my attempts fail.

what do i want out of a GUI lib?

need
*rich text input and display
*buttons
*forms(a bar with an associated widget)
*tabs(which store other widgets)
*panel(a plane with widgets placed about)
*file dialogue

and each of them have AMPLE callbacks for drawing routines such that you can display what ever you feel like

for things like buttons and tabs i would like a Qt style "slot" and "signals"

Rich text editor most difficult thing I think.

Rich text input? That is asking a lot. You might remember my (still buggy) Rich Text library, which was and is a pain in the ass. Making something like that editable is going to be infinitely worse.
