Version 1.2 now allows you to reverse the snake's direction entirely by pressing spacebar. After playing around with it a bit I've decided it's pretty awesome, but harder to use in the 'fast' gamespeed.

All it needs now is a cool custom image font to replace Vera. Something that fits the theme with the same bloom filtering.

Also, it doesn't work in either 0.8.0 version I have. Gives me a different error for each. One is an error in world.lua on line 277. "Incorrect parameter type: Expected image" and the other version I have is before newCanvas was created. Is there something newer than what I have? Or is this an error on your end?

Absolutely needs the latest build of LÖVE 0.8.0!
You don't have the latest build, yours must be one from before canvases were able to be used with quads. :P

I was playing around with different fonts a while ago but couldn't find anything that satisfied me, I'd love suggestions if you have 'em.

am I missing something? Why not just use a second shader to change the color of the background?
