I tried a completely different computer, to no avail.
And then I got a -1 because it's not showing up.

Okay, I just got a -1 because the trigger-happy "sex machine" hates me. >_>

I think (i can be wrong) you making a bad tech interpretation of karma mod. It don't seem that browser caches have nothing to do with this forum mod. I believe settings and counts are stored in in forum database server and not in users caches/cookies and so ever. Also Karma seems to have anti-abuse measures and I dont' think someone can bypass easily the system and vote over and over against you.

Also you can't vote on yourself.

If Kikito isn't at Karma 10 before I log back in tonight after work then this system is flawed.

I had Karma on my forum for a while. But one day I got rid of it and they all got sad.

Suggestion: drop the [-] button.

This place is about fun stuff... The downvote option may make unconfident people refraining from posting something useful but potentially controversial, for example, while trolls will post like trolls no matter what karma system exists, and they're easily spottable without the karma anyway. We're still a small community.

Keep the löve flowing :-)

I agree. I've been to so many forums where people make -1 bots...

That's strange:
"Features:
Guests/bots can't karma"

Anyway except you all people here seems have 0/positive karma here, so don't seem to have any negative karma problem here.

You have to give a reason why you give positive/negative karma, so you will see why you got or lost karma.
It's the same reason I guess bots wont be a problem. And if it becomes a problem, you can still complain to the board moderators.

On another note: Doesn't the apparent need for people to create bots just to downvote you make you think? I mean, you'd have to do a lot to drive me to build scripts that automatically downvotes you or hide your posts.

Seeing all the steps involved in giving karma, well, it seems like a big deal.

A lot of people have helped me out, but should I be giving +1s to everyone, or is it only supposed to be given for certain level stuff? What's the current practice?
