I made a blog on the Snayke website. So far I have posted about the game's bloom technique, its block types, and its smooth grid-based movement. I also regularly post for Screenshot Saturday on my Twitter account.

Looks like when you hit those tiles, your snayke turns counter-clockwise. So I guess you need to approach from one tile off to the edge so it turns you into it instead of away?

Yeah, they forcibly turn your snake in the indicated direction if it approaches from the block that the line starts on.
