Beta 6 is released!

It's a pretty big update:

- Added options screen (not too many are available at the moment, but it does include two which will boost performance)
- Working sound and music volume sliders for the options menu
- Options are saved between sessions (it will, for example, remember if you were running the game fullscreen or not)
- Replaced sounds for menu, plant creation, and plant removal with multiple, much better (hopefully) ones
- Added two new songs
- Improved background scenery
- New button graphics (much better)
- Added level-select screen to Perfect Plant mode
- High-scores and genes are saved for every Perfect Plant level (though I don't know what I want to do with the genes, yet)
- Redid Perfect Plant stage flow (no more Z and Space needed)
- Added a progress bar to Perfect Plant, showing how close you are to the goal plant
- New Perfect Plant levels (with specific plants - no more randomly getting crappy plants)
- Fixed minor bugs with multi-goal Perfect Plant levels
- The usual minor improvements

Who wants to show off how high they can get their scores on the Perfect Plant levels?

Taehl and I discussed the first level being way too hard. There levels will be modified before a final release, so no worries.

Right now we're working on some neat visual effects that everyone should enjoy. Pretty much the only major feature left is the metagame, which involves being able to save/load plants and recall them at will.

Stay tuned! More to come.

The next beta will mainly add new eye candy, including:
