Oh, my favourite!
I was having laptop with same """GPU""". They kinda sucks, so I'm not surprised that you had this kind of issues.
Unsurprisingly from the love2d community, we are having a very pleasant conversation.
I mean, there no reason to start comment war. (Not yet, at least.)
We aren't talking about source obfuscation, after all :)
Maybe I could start a new thread title and ask what's people view on that matter ?
I mean, if you really need to know, then why not?
My and Brot's opinion kind of same. It will be easier to port game 10 -> 11 and later -> 12, then 10 -> 12.
And better performance and hardware support (at least for newer hardware, I guess) is always welcome thing. (With exception of users of VERY old GPUs without Vulkan and with very limited OpenGL support, like older Intel's GMA IGPUs.)

Just a minor nitpick: it's not called "ghosting", it's called "jamming".

"Ghosting" is getting a key that you don't expect due to how a keyboard matrix works; "jamming" is when you don't get a key that you expected, and it's usually done on purpose by keyboards when they detect a situation that would generate ghosting, because it's deemed as less dangerous to "eat" keys than to "add" unexpected keys.

See the article that MrFariator linked for reference.

In my experience updates are very often slower and support less stuff. Thats not universally true but often enough so that i try to avoid any kind of them as good as i can.
