Game doesn't start? Well it should. I have to say, it was made with Löve version 9.0, so maybe it doesn't work on all newer systems.

I want to write a very simple game. A reaction test not more. I hope it fits in here, because this is my first post in this forum.

The name of the game will be TikoTako.

There will appear different numbers on the screen. If the number is even you have to leave the key and when it is odd you have to press the key. The times will be taken and displayed on the screen.

Is it crappy enough?

If you want to use the keyboard, use ←→ to control the position of your tank, and the "y" or "z" button to fire. The fire button is also used to start the game on the title screen. (Edit: It's not the ←→ on the number pad, but the other ←→ keys)

Interesting concept, wondering if it was possible to hook it up to some sort of language processing API so you can control it with voice instead of typing the commands.

You need to post it for us to find out.
But thinking out loud: If a game matches its description can it be crappy?
If you have a racing game that plays slow, yea thats shit.
If you game is called jumpman and your char only jumps like 10 pixels, yea dude, what a crap.
But if your game concept is just simple, it could still be an awesome game.
I mean "press a button if something is on screen", thats wario ware, Nintendo made that a whole franchise and its successful.

Very simple concept. I dont intend to make it big or complicated. It should be a simple reaction test, where you can measure your reaction time. To make it a little bit harder, i may pepper some letters into the output on the screen.

I have this thing here:
Tile-breaking.love
(2.23 MiB) Downloaded 282 times
It's abandoned because it turned out too crappy to continue.
Keys are:
-- WASD: move
-- R: regen map
-- LMB: break tiles
-- RMB: add light source
Don't press anything else if you dislike blue screens.

require is case sensitive, youve made an oopsie.

This looks like a graphics study, what kind of gameplay where you planning to put into it?
