Have not played the game but from what I can see in the trailer looks like a good looking game and quite enjoyable

Congratulations on the Steam release!

Congratulations on getting on Steam! Its really cool to see commercial LÖVE games.
I tried the demo and it was quite fun, well done! As others have said I find it pretty to look at (I always appreciate this style of graphics) and the gameplay is good so far. I saw some of the reviews on steam complained about the controls however, and I'd have to agree there. They don't seem very intuitive, and kinda clunky. I got the hang of it after a while, but with all the different block/dodge/kick/punch mechanics it got a bit overwhelming at first. Perhaps something to keep in mind so you don't turn away new players.
All in all great work though! How did you find the process of getting on steam?
EDIT: Oh and I forgot to ask if you use any of the community libraries?

I do try to get the gameplay as good as possible while keeping the game challenging but there are certainly some problems with the game, not least with the level design. If I had planned things out a bit better from the start features such as blocking and dodging could have been introduced with a better pacing, instead of introducing so many things right away. The beginning of the game will hopefully be a bit better by the next update though as I've expanded that area a bit.
The reason the game even got onto Steam was because of my publisher. Without them I probably would have just settled to release the game on itch.io or something - I didn't even think about Steam. Anyway, we just put the game in Steam Greenlight and tried to spread the word about the game and after a while it got greenlit. Pretty straightforward.
The only library/module I'm using for the game that I didn't write completely myself is an edited version of 30log. I like doing everything from the ground up myself.

wow...congratz for this great game...Looks awesome. I just wanted to buy it....but unfortunately there is no Linux-Version yet ....i hope there will be in the future?
I just started out with lua and love2d....i have some programming Background in pygame / python and monogame c#....and also tried unity....but i decided to go on a more simple Approach in which you have to more Basic stuff by yourself. Its nice to see, what is possible with love2d.
sorry for my bad english....
