What you should develop first
I have a few ideas:
First of all, I'm confused by the cursor in game. I like it in menu but, when I play I tend to shoot them with the pointed end.
Everything is nice but the game lacks a variety. I played similar artistic game where you were supposed to find differences or something. But each level was new and were telling you something. It was more gallery than a game.
You might be able to do the similar with your game. Each level with it's own new background with different objects, different feeling and message. Moles might appear from behind various objects and places on the screen.
The music is very important in those kind of games by the way.
It's just a suggestion. I'm not trying to force you to do something or influence your artistic expression. You know the best.8-)

It took me a while to figure out that I wasn't supposed to click with the pointy bit. Fun though!
Small bug: when I got > 1000 points, the score stopped displaying until the game was over.
