I think you have magazine wrong on level 5.

Code: Select all

{ kana = {"za","xtsu","shi"}, eng = "Magazine", kana_type = "hiragana" },
Well, good news you can run it now :P

How would you translate magazine?

Zasshi, right? Or magajin if you like engrish-y words. This is, after all, serious bijinesu.

That translates to photograph, right? I can see the connection, both in terms of sound and meaning.

Also, oh god it's hard to recall this stuff, I am ridiculously rusty.

Does anyone know of some good vocabulary lists that could be nice to include? I'm thinking of adding one vocabulary list with only verbs.

Try working backwards from Ogden's Basic English, I find it to be quite handy. Here, try these links: http://www.basic-english.org/learn/otherlang.html#jap

Those are books to learn English in Japanese? That's an interesting way to learn Japanese, by reverse :P

I might be wrong, but a "tsu" in front of anything other than 'a i u e o' would double the consonant instead of reading "tsu":

"za-tsu-shi" reads in fact "za-sshi".

(Sorry for my username. There's a parasite 'g' in the middle.)

Is za-tsu-shi the correct spelling?

So, what about つよい? I think you are mixing up つ and っ.
