that's fine, just messing with u, neverthless is even cute that you all are presenting "respects" to a civil war veterenan (a WWI in a steampunk contest would be more fun)...
EDITED: also could be a reference to this

Ok, the poll was on for some time already - so I will leave my vote too. I vote for Avathars story, liked the idea of third power (engineers) and how it was introduced. I think we close the poll next week, say - 5'th December?

Which means if you prefer one of the other submissions above partymetroid's, vote and leave a reply explaining your vote.

Actually if you prefer partymetroid's also vote and leave a reply why - because that's still useful information why you liked one more than other.
That way we can integrate some of ideas of runner-ups and be sure to not leave out something you like from winners idea in progress. Of course it will be winners decision (and work) what and how to integrate (if at all, though we encourage winner to do so) ideas from runner-ups, but idea author have to give permission to integrate his work into winners idea, and will of course be properly credited. But lets leave details for after results are final, and that's still approx one week.
As always, good luck to all!

I voted for Robin's story. It has the most compelling chances for character development and emotional attachment to the storyline, if the 'clues from dreams' mechanic is not overused. I felt that it was focused on the story rather than getting mired in 'this monster' and 'that magic' traps, and thus has quite a large potential for creative outgrowth, which will allow the mechanics to follow the needs of the author to draw the player into the world.

partymetroid, yup - with 6 votes. Next comes Robin with 3 votes and finally avathar with 2 votes. Congratulations to all contestants, and especially to our winner!
@partymetroid - please read comments of other people and think if you want to integrate some ideas that made 5 other people vote for other entries, then we ask authors for permission to use parts of it.

Yay! Thank you very much for this opportunity! I'll see this project through to the end. I'll go through the comments as recommended by you, giniu. I will also read the other contestants' entries, pick the ideas that I like, and post them hear for permission to use them.
Thank you to all who voted for me and the other devs of A Whiff of Steam.
