thanks
The sounds are just placeholders except maybe for the laser.
For the explosions I would like something that looks good but also fits with the "retro" style. Not sure what to do there.
Not being able to shot after respawn is done on purpose, the shield should enable one not get spawnkilled but not wreck havoc.

OK, I see what you're doing with the shield. But the game doesn't really look that retro, everything's too clean and modern looking for that. I think you may as well make the explosions look as clean as everything else.

The game doesn't seem to close properly on Windows. And it has the horrible side effect on LInux of not setting the resolution back after exiting.

Sorry to hear this. No idea really.
A bit disappointed, I hoped Löve games would work the same on all plattforms.
Maybe version problem? I use Löve 0.6.2
What do you mean with not closing properly?
I use
love.event.push("q")
like i have seen in the examples. have not had any problems with it.
I dont have Linux so I dont know about this...but sounds more like a OS/driver problem?
I use
love.graphics.setMode(res_w, res_h, true)
to set graphic mode.

There's really only one problem: the game closing improperly. I get the loading cursor for a while and then the game closes (on Windows I get a message about the game not closing properly).
Also, to set the resolution, you could just put t.screen.fullscreen=true in conf.lua.
Are you sure you aren't doing some infinite loop when you close the game?

i will look into using conf.lua, atm i dont use it all.
Are you sure you aren't doing some infinite loop when you close the game?
Possible, but I do not think so. It would explain the loading cursor prolem you got though i guess.
with the closing problem i have no idea, will be a bit hard to check as it works for me. can you maybe screenshot the message?

ok saw the error on a friends computer yesterday.
it is the "application has ended in an unusual way, do you want to send a problem report yes/no" message.
still no idea though what causes it.

12 years have passed since the last released version.
Lots of time to develop the absolute best game ever.
I did other things. But now I did a new version.
As before, any kind of feedback is welcome.

This comeback gives me same vibes that this video where guy was offline in steam for 12 years, returned to play in "Waifu hunter"
