In terms of innernets radio, SomaFM (spacestation, lush, and dronezone are great), SceneSat Radio can be good if you like demoscene music, and Rainwave is good, though I rush to shut it off with it starts playing The Megas. As for whats in my personal playlist, I have a lot of heavy metal (ensiferum, iced earth, hammerfall, in flames) and futurepop (vnv nation, imperative reaction).

Someone could probably figure out the common timber to all of my tastes, but I like to think it's a good variety, and it makes programming easier for me.

I LÖVE punk rock while coding, mainly The Offspring. I find their songs to be motivational and inspirational in some sick sadistic fashion. The speed and intensity of the sound gets me in mood to crank out my Lua or C++.

What I listen to varies greatly. Some samples would be: hard(ish) electronic (The Glitch Mob and Ephixa), chillstep (Blackmill, Sacred, CMA, etc.), post-rock (Hammock and Explosions in the Sky), movie and game soundtracks (Skyrim, Anno 2070, Assassin's Creed, FEZ, etc.), dramatic orchestral or orchestral rock (Two Steps From Hell and Audiomachine), and even some more classical music (Ludovico Einaudi, Mozart, etc.). Yeah... a lot. Nevertheless, more often than not it's something electronic (like the first two mentioned), or just plain silence.

EDIT: I do listen to chiptunes as well, although not as much as I used to. The only artists I've got in that genre so far are Tettix and She (Tettix is absolutely brilliant).

Europa is called Europe in english, I think... Anyway, just not to write a completely off-topic post, I usually code in silence (well, without music... I have two brothers, it's hard having silence around me) or listening to Dragonforce or Disturbed, two metal bands

Not specific.

Usually I listen to video game music, sometimes just random, Basil Poledouris, Ennio Morricone, Joe Hisaishi, Govi...
