If you don't want to see a user's posts, there's always User control pannel -> Friends and foes -> Manage foes -> Add new foe. I have done this occasionally with some forum users who were very ... active but whose posts ... didn't add enough value for me. There is no need to be offensive. You will be happier if you just ignore the posts you don't like.

I totally agree with you, Ensayia, but kikito does have a point. I've had qasoijspdo blocked for ages both on the forums and IRC, and it feels good.
