Whoa! Nice project! RPGMaker VX graphics are cool! I'm looking forward to see the project completed!

Here's a screenshot of the initial battle screen.

Currently, they're just image backgrounds that have been pre-generated.

Does the battle system support more than one enemy? Is it turn based or time based? Have you made characters attack animations (like a step forward or a jump etc...)? I'm curious about your battle algorithm! I love programming BSs and i'm quite good with them...

It can currently support up to five enemies, and is turn based. Modifying it to be an ATB system wouldn't require much effort on my part.

Attack animations were completed early this morning. :)

Reminds me a lot of the old RPGMaker battle system, with less completely terrible. Nice work, though i hate gradient backgrounds like that so, so much. XD

This is great work! I just so happen to love J-RPGs and think that this project is great step forward for Löve. Does this engine do overworld maps? What is the magic system like? And can it do (although I totally expect a no) mode 7? ;)
