You never cease to amaze me.
I'm glad I can give you such joy and amazement!
At least this time I gave you a warning that a bunch of EVIL PHONETICS were waiting, so you didn't actually have to read it before ziggifying it.

Bartbes and Robin:
Dutch and Norwegian are actually quite similar, although there are a lot of differences too.
Take off every Zigg for great rapist.
Now, outgay that!

I know what you mean, but I feel like saying:
A square and a circle are quite similar, although there are a lot of differences too.

(not saying Dutch and Norwegian aren't similar, they are... in a way)

Let's just say: if intelligent aliens would come to this planet, and they heard Dutch and Norwegian, I'm pretty sure they can't tell them apart.

But then: what do I know? I'm a beta.

Most English speakers can't tell Dutch and Norwegian apart.
Neither can most Germans, they always mistake Norwegians for Dutch people.
The languages are so similar, I think you could probably be able to read a lot of Norwegian and understand it.

EDIT:
Oh, and squares and circles are the same thing. A circle just happens to be subdivided, or maybe you're squinting.

Square peg in the round hole? However, you inspired me to start reading Norwegian, I'm not too optimistic though, I'll let you know.

EDIT: It looks nothing like it.. but I guess I can kind of understand what it says, but it's easier for me to read Italian.. Maybe it just sounds the same..

One of my favorite musical groups is Röyksopp. Sometimes spelled Røyksopp. But more commonly with the ö instead of the ø.

Who are Röyksopp? You may have already heard their stuff.

Especially if you remember the Caveman at the airport, or have ever installed a copy of OS X 10.3.

That's nothing. It inspired me not only to learn Norwegian, but also to pick up on learning the piano. (True story!)

Two guys from northern Norway (Tromsø), I used to think they were from Bergen, but that's just where they formed the band.
And yes, they spell it ö, in Norwegian you can use either ø or ö for the same sound, but the phonetic alphabet uses ø.
Ö is more common in handwriting, since it's not the official character, and because we have an own key for ø.
