Is there a way to convert this theme to support gedit?

An automatic way, I don't think so, but a manual way, of course, for every editor.

Just pick the colors indicated in the readme on first post and apply them to your color-scheme for Gedit.
You can use as a template this Inkpot theme : http://ideasman42-dev-scripts.googlecod ... scheme.xml

Save your theme under ~/.gnome2/gedit or ~/.config/gedit, I don't remember the path exactly, because I use Geany or Kate (when I'm on KDE) on GNU/Linux.

Apply it in the preferences, et voilà.
