Starting a gem with love

hi im kinda new here and i wanted to know what i have to do to run my files because if i run the love app i only get a pig with hearts flying around. do i have to do something in the content file? i really dont i really don't know what to do

im running this on mac by the way

As far as I know, the screen you have is the no game screen with Love 0.8.0.
It just means Löve is running fine, and is waiting for some code to run it.
So you basically have to send it a .love file. .love files are just zip files (with the extension renamed to .love).
See Getting Started for more details on how to run a love file.
