Ludum Dare 25 joinings
Re: Ludum Dare 25 joinings
Your game looks really great leafo. Congrats!
Also, thanks for finding that bug with my game. Are we allowed to fix stuff like that?

Here is my entry "Fisticuffs" an ICE HOCKEY brawl game for 2 Players!
Fisticuffs is not a real game, but rather a simulation where you can bet for the winning team.

Not really that pleased with my game (I aimed high, and missed terribly), but here it is: Robo Jerks.
Where's my big, fat hammock time?
I should pimp my neglected game dev blog.

I added a Love2d-webplayer version of Fisticuffs.
You can try out here:

Does anybody need help in porting his LD game to love2d-webplayer?

Re: Ludum Dare 25 joinings
Well, I ended up going with FlashPunk yet again. I didn't put enough forethought into level loading and editing, so I had to go with what I knew. Anyway, I made a stealth game, called Amongst Shadows. I worked for around 27 hours, and slept for 9. You can see the timelapse here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNZa1fHItpA.
I'm quite proud of the AI I developed for it. Even though the guards can be pretty dumb, it's actually the most advanced AI I've ever made. For example, they have fields of view, a level of awareness, they can't see you in the dark, they search around where you were last seen after you've disappeared, and so on. I'll probably talk more about this when I write a post-mortem.
EDIT: Here's the post-mortem: http://nova-fusion.com/2012/12/19/ludum-dare-25
And yeah, it was really unpleasant for me at times as well. I don't know whether I'll doing the 48 hour competition again for a while. I might do the jam though, if there's others to work with.

Ah, that's a shame. Going by the powers you mentioned, it looks like we both took inspiration from Dishonored (although I'd say I took more inspiration from Thief's light mechanics).kikito wrote:As I suspected, I could not finish this.

I'm so tired now . I might be a bit too old for this. See you guys in a couple days

Pretty pleased with my game. It isn't the funnest game, but it is a whole lot better than my game for LD24: NONE_SHALL_PASS

Well, not really. I got the idea about from page on Morgana (the comic character, not the one from the arthurical myth). The fact that those two of the powers appear in Dishonored had not even crossed my mind. Honest.BlackBulletIV wrote:Ah, that's a shame. Since I didn't finish my game, I am not able to vote. But I wish you guys luck!
When I write def I mean function.
