Marx TV Tennis simulator

Post by slydc »

Hi folks,

This is a simulation of the 1974 Marx T.V. Tennis electro-mechanical toy. It is the first (and surely
not the last) simulator i have done, so please bear with me since i'm still learning how to program. ;)

To play, it is a simple "Pong" game (yup...another one) so no need a lot of explications...LOL!!
I had this electro-mechanical toy a few years ago and gave it to a friend of mine for displaying
in his video game store. Since then, i tried to replicate this toy the best as i can remember it
(played only twice) so it there's some adjustments to do, please feel free to e-mail me with
comments/suggestions and a video of this thing would be just peachy (please don't try to make to
much noises while filming so i can rip the sounds from the audio).

So enough "blah-blah-blah", here's the buttons configuration to play:

Main buttons:
-------------
"ESCAPE" = Quit/Exit game
"P" = Pause
"F1" = Full/Window mode
"F4" = Reset game
"1" = Human player 1 or AI
"2" = Human player 2 or AI

Note" Press "1" & "2" for a demo mode :)

Player 1 buttons:
-----------------
"W" = UP
"S" = DOWN

Player 2 buttons:
-----------------
"UP" = UP
"DOWN" = DOWN

Marx TV Tennis "COLOR" models:
------------------------------
There are two different color models released: Green and Red Wine, but i added also the "Black"
model pictured on the boxes just for fun! You can choose any of the three models anytime during
game play.

* "F5" = Green model
* "F6" = Red Wine model
* "F7" = Black model

Hope you'll have fun playing it with (and maybe relive some found memories too!)

Please use the forum uploader. Chrome block access to your post because of warnings related to the site you linked to.
Do you recognise when the world won't stop for you? Or when the days don't care what you've got to do? When the weight's too tough to lift up, what do you? Don't let them choose for you, that's on you.

Chrome blocked this.. Seriously, do you even know what site your uploading to?

Sorry about the Google Chrome blocking. I had a virus some weeks ago on the server where my web site resides.
Since then, i check all the files and there's no virus anymore but the Google Chrome warning last 90 days...sigh!

Thanks Lafolie for telling me to upload on the forum instead of my web site. Didn't checked that option (DOH!) ;)
And also thanks for Nixola for uploading the screenshot elsewhere and putting the link. ;)

If there is other problems, please let me know.
