Intro

About 2 years ago, a user named Beatthelastboss created an unofficial love-prototyping competition. That user disappeared after only the second contest, and was never heard from again... UNTIL NOW. I was he, and he is she, and she is me, so it is time to begin Lovefest once again: for real this time!

Rules and Details

Lovefest exists to give people who are "stuck" a friendly, competitive, and fun way to get to work and let creativity flow. Entrants (singular users or groups) will have 2 weeks to create and submit their works based on a vague basic theme decided by yours truly (message me theme suggestions if you are interested). After these 2 weeks, there will be a 1 week voting period (using the forum's poll feature), during which anyone can vote (please do not cheat!). Any Love versions/libraries/extensions can be used, as long as they can run on other people's computers without much hassle.

Neat idea! But, I'd rather you PM me your suggestions, so others are surprised (and don't have a chance to cheat and work before the competition is started!)

Come on! If anyone thinks they might have questions or concerns, now is the time! To address some questions I came up with myself, though:

You submit your completed entries here in this thread, using the template provided. Timezone is UTC to prevent confusion, that being what the forum uses. Entrants may vote if they'd like. The prize is satisfaction of a job well done, a possible budding prototype project to work from, bragging rights, and a hug from yours truly

And btw, shouldn't a selected group of people vote? You know, first, user's votes, then the voting team will vote. I prefer the Team who helped make love possible.

Firstly, I am not sure about those two requirements, I would like to keep the rules rather loose to encourage creativity within limitations. If either of those things will be a big problem, I'll add them to the list of rules

Also, wow, having the love dev team be a panel of judges would be brilliant! I would like to keep the voting process simple and quick, so multiple phases wouldn't work, but if any of the love devs would be willing to take a bit to try each entry and cast their vote, that'd be incredibly neat!

Dunno if it's possible, but very good suggestion

P.S. : The lack of graphics card *might* be an issue later down the line >.>

How 'bout you edit your first post to have a poll so we can vote on the theme. (Unless you just get to decide the theme...)

Also, when does it start? I'll only be able to participate if it's on a weekend .
