Sorry for starting the song. I'm a Construct 2 user at the moment for fiddling with browser games but I've always wanted to give LUA a try, and I found Love2D.
Can someone acquaint me to the strengths of this engine? Is it possible to make productivity apps out of it, or even crazier, some sort of widgets/components for web pages or android phones?

LOVE can't handle web or android officially although there are community projects for them here and here. LOVE has no web or GUI API either so if you're interested in web/widget stuff it might be better to go with Construct which is suppose to be really good at those things.
