To get into lua before start with love2d you could use this : http://www.lua.org/pil/index.html
Everything you need to learn more about love2d is the offical wiki https://love2d.org/wiki/Main_Page
There you find tutorials and a full documentation.

If you've got some prior programming experience you may find find my Lua for Programmers series useful. I've got a guide for getting started with LÖVE as well.

Google, you'll find a lot (iLua, LuaInterface, luaBinaries, the official release,...)
If you're on Windows, you can check this set of batteries that comes with a lot useful tools.

where is the terminal and i am on windows too

On Windows the terminal would be command prompt. You should be able to find it by searching for "cmd" in the start menu. Whether you'll be able to access the lua command from the terminal, I don't know. You might be able to if you install that luaforwindows package.
