That is user based, not post based. Nobody see's that YOU gave karma, nobody knows what the user got karma FOR.

Maybe switch to vector graphics. On second thought, I doubt LOVE will handle SVG files.

Definitely not but vector graphics can look nice and easily rasterize, plus it's always a good idea to have high-quality source images if you decide to change the size later. SVG -> 32x32 is far better then SVG -> 64x64 then changing your mind and resizing 64x64 -> 32x32
I use gimp often but it's much more difficult then Paint.NET, my first choice.

It's up to the user to decide if others can see his karma. Click on my karma points

I can't. I can only see my own karma points, and for some reason, Technocat's.

EDIT: it is a setting, though.

You can always pick the background colour for new images. You can even pick transparent. (You might need to click on some "show advanced properties" thingy or something, can't remember.)

Yes, and that's what bothers me, that I can't set it to default.

T-bone you could copy your current layer by using the rectangle select, create a new transparency layer, then paste your old layer onto it.

I know, that's exactly what I want to avoid.
