DAME - The Deadly Alien Map Editor. A multi layer map editor for Windows, Mac and Linux and supporting many features.

Features:
  • Can write custom exporters using LUA and some DAME functions allowing you to export in almost any format.
    Tilemap editing with realtime parallax scrolling.

This looks interesting. Could you please include it in the Free Game Resources wiki page? (you can login with your forum login details)

Worst than Flash it requires also AIR. Cross-plataform with some nasty dependencies. I didn't run it because besides was unsigned wanted full permissions to network and system. Could be open source but too demanding for me. But it's a nice find anyway.

So.. How would you implement the tiles into the game and make them solid? Would you have to set all the blocks by hand or is there a script?

I tried to do it.
But I failed.
I'm not good at editing the WIKI.

I'll also mention that I have the same problem.
I have never been able to log in the wiki.
Everytime, it complains about a wrong username/password. :x
