New to Love

Is there any tutorials that could help me get started, I've found one tutorial so far for love that described in he least amount of detail possible on how to create a centipede like game, While I'm following along on the tutorial just fine I dont really see it at the end of the day teaching me much, only because it lacks some details that I think would help me out. I'm a hands on type of person.

If you're starting with Löve, checkout the wiki.
There you will found docs, tutorials, snippets of code. Take a look at the Getting started.
Also, take a look at other's people source, you'll learn a lot from that. There's also a list of good games made with Löve on the wiki.

If you're starting with Lua, though, take a look at the online book PiL, the manual, and Lua-Users. Lua's unofficial FaQ could be interesting, too.
