This has been bugging me for a while. I understand the need to tear apart code if you need to do some major refactoring or architectural changes, but could it please not get done on the only branch of the vcs? I won't complain about broken code in an experimental branch, but shouldn't there be a stable branch for bug fixes? Not having one completely removes the ability to react to any urgent issues that come up with the code that everyone is using.

I mostly agree but I'm sure Rude & Mike have their reasons.

This is particularly annoying since the latest available download is more than 3 months old.
Is there a plan for a nightly build system anytime in the foreseeable future?
