Sliding Puzzle game

Post by dreadkillz »

Just a simple sliding puzzle game that I was working. It's pretty barebone, but it's my first real game to practice the fundamentals on. It randomly chooses an image from the images folder.

Arrow keys and left mouse button to move the blocks, and escape to quit or return to the main menu.

It's nice but I was expecting mouse dragging/sliding! :D
You need at least put a line around the selected block.

I quite like it, but I'd also like to see mouse sliding. It's certainly a more intuitive mechanism.

OH SNAPS I SOLVED IT. :awesome: That... that was too much fun. And I like the arrow controls! :D And the images too! :neko:

Fun fact: You can actually pass a table to love.graphics.setColor, so you don't need to unpack it!

More changes, yay! Now with a smaller window, numbered pieces, shadow image, and a better random now. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the results and definitely learned a lot. Remember that you can use your own custom images by placing in the images folder.
