I am starting a new user group in London, UK for Lua users. The web page is here http://www.londonlua.org/ and the first meeting is on 5 July, and you are all welcome! Hope some of you can make it...
I would really like to have someone give a talk about developing with LÖVE, so if you want to talk about a project you are doing, or about using LÖVE or anything related, let me know.

Re: London/UK Lua users group
Hi Justin,
I saw the group creation announcement on the Lua users list.
Congratulations on the initiative!
I'm a bit far away (Madrid) but would like to attend if I ever go to London and manage to coincide with one of your meetings. You have tempted me to create a LUG on my own city (I'm already managing the Ruby Users Group though; two groups might be a bit too much)
Regards!

Go for it! I can't believe how there are no Lua groups already. Let me know if you are coming to London...

Ah, sad it's not in Wales. And that I'm still a year and a half from legal driving age. Maybe I'll make one in Wales in a couple of years if someone else hasn't/doesn't?

Wouldn't LUG clash with Linux User Group? There must be a more Lua-centric acronym or word to use...Orbit maybe?

I believe LUG stands for "Local User Group".MarekkPie wrote:Wouldn't LUG clash with Linux User Group? There must be a more Lua-centric acronym or word to use...Orbit maybe?

I haven't been able to find any Lua user groups anywhere, which is why I started one in London...bartbes wrote:Btw, is there a list of lua user groups somewhere?
