note that this isn't normal gameplay, but an image of some of the multiple in-game powerups in effect.

in the game, you have the ability to do the following:
  • pick up blocks
  • throw blocks
  • destroy players and the environment with said blocks
  • use powerups to do various mind-screwy things.
but you also have to avoid the following:
  • blocks falling from the sky
  • blocks thrown at you
  • some douchebag with the melee powerup
the profile menu is where you can change your name and color. the settings menu is where you can change other miscellaneous things like screen resolution.

Controls:
arrow keys - move
grab a block in front of you - hold z
release a held block - release z

Well, that was different.
And of course I completely suck at it, but then again it is past 2 AM here.

I notice you put the settings in my home directory. Any chance of putting those in one of the user application data directories Löve can write to?

would you prefer it in the appdata directory?

i thought it'd be more convenient for players if I put it in the home directory. :/

I thought putting it in the appdata directory would mean less clutter in my home directory, since I'm not likely to move my profile files around that much.

Appdata is just what it sounds like - It's a place that your operating system reserves so applications have a location to store their data, like saved games and user settings. If every application saved its information to the profile root then it would get messy really fast.

Sadly, precious few commercial games remember this and don't just dump their user files in My Documents or equivalent again.

Yeah, I'm really not comfortable with games messing with my ~. It's an error in SELÖVE, by the way.
