I'm working on a GUI too, but I think it's already starting to be too slow (50 checkboxes = 16/18 FPS)

That is really very impressive!slime wrote:As seen in my forum thread, I've been working on the puzzle levels and editor for Snayke.
I've worked on several since my previous video that I don't show in this one, like shareable replays.

Over the past month, I've been writing a bunch of small libraries. These are the most interesting ones in my personal repos.
Reworking the backend to pocket strife from LD23.
3d World animator. This thing takes up a ton of ram.
Here's a module that takes two imgaes, one for the ships, and one for the engine and damage sources, and draws them out dynamically.
A dramatic library. The idea is that this can be used as cheap cutscenes!

A cut scene lib would be useful .
I plan to do a game with a 'simple' storyline and cutscenes. I imagine images like the following. They get scaled and faded in / out .Onto this I want to
draw speechbubbles which pops up. The cutscenes you are about to do are interesting, may this could be helpful for me in some way.

Hey, I'm pretty excited to say that we've just released an iOS app called Touch Chess.
The game is based on the Faile engine with the front-end in Lua using AGen.
If you have an iPhone/iPad or an iPod touch you can
try it free: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/touch-chess/id521451218
or get the full version for just $0.99: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/touch-chess/id518266745
