Wow, it's actually been released. I'm pretty excited now. Has the wiki been updated to the new API? I can't wait to start adjusting to all this new stuff.
Awesomesauce! Will the Ubuntu 11.10 build in the Software Center be updated soon? And will 0.8.0 be the standard LÖVE version in the Software Center in Ubuntu 12.04?
Wow, how could I miss this topic? I'll start migrating my project to 0.8.0 when I reach home
I don't know if new releases happen very often here (I arrived with 0.7.2 a few months ago), but if that's the case, it wouldbe nice to have some mailing list to subscribe to, for these updates

No, we're way too late for the update window of 12.04, you'll have to wait for 12.10. You can, of course, use the ppa.
Good stuff. I took the time to update the physics collision callbacks tutorial to be compatible earlier today. Here's the diff from the 0.7.2 version to now; that should cover a lot of the API changes to look out for. Lots of stuff reworked to include fixtures. I think it's overall more sensible now, and like that a lot of the physics object instantiation doesn't require so many parameters.
