balanco -- a remake of a tetris-like game

Post by Tyrannodoggg »

More than ten years ago there was a game I liked to play. It was called Swing!, does anyone remember it?
The developing company is long gone, but I wanted to have that game back or something similar.
In the end, I built a prototype of it for löve.
The game mechanics are done, but all of the special items are missing.
Anyway, it already reminds me of the original, which makes it fun to play to me.
Adding specials, losing conditions, a menu, etc ... should be a piece of cake, when my schedule allows it.
Although it's still not perfect I improved cakecolor a little bit to get more distinguishable colors.

Feedback is welcome and have fun

Interesting puzzle game. I don't know the original but well done. Titled "Balanço" right?

This is pretty cool, I personally never heard of the game, It'd be convenient if you'd explain a bit how to play the game, Although i got the hang of it after a minute or two.

I don't know quite why, but this is really freaking neat. If you polished this up with some nice graphics and sound this could be a real winner! Some instructions on how to play might be helpful for some, even though it only took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on.

This is cool. With good graphics and a tutorial mode, I think this could be a good selling game for smartphones and tablets.

Swing by Software 2000? I absolutely loved that game! Please don't let this die :awesome:

This is great. I'm not really a fan of simple puzzle games, but I played this for quite some time. The only criticism I have is that it would be great if the balls were transferred in a more natural arc, rather than shifting to the top and moving at 90˚ angles.
Do you recognise when the world won't stop for you? Or when the days don't care what you've got to do? When the weight's too tough to lift up, what do you? Don't let them choose for you, that's on you.
