zombie

What does it take to make a good zombie survival game? What are some features that gamers would enjoy? Me and my friends are creating a zombie video game. Useful tips are needed. What would the gamers like to see in a zombie survival game? All suggestions are welcome.

For me, zombie survival has two essential elements : "removing the head, or destroying the brain", and a bunch of hapless nitwits who are desperately trying to get themselves bitten, but somehow manage to perform some vital service to society (sometimes by having their head removed, or their brain destroyed)

Beside that, there are the unlikely implements which are bent to the task of head removal or brain destruction in ingenious or accidental ways, makeshift fortifications built on improbable locations, the strength of which often depends on their remaining undetected, and the hope of escape and the restoration of society, along with a number of hair-brained schemes to that end, involving the truck, the generator, and other shaky equipment.

Translating that into features means something along the lines :
- a dynamic squad with varying number and capability of members, consisting of unlikely and erratic characters with social issues (in other words, a charisma-based command system). This is often neglected, but character interplay has a vital role in any good zombie movie.
- a dynamic equipment system with some cool animations, and at least some kind of crafting (baseball bat + nails, bottle + petrol, wheelchair + fire extinguisher, etc)
- an element of detection and stealth

I suppose it goes without saying that you should watch as many zombie flicks as you can get your hands on, and take notes.

Well, stay in the couch is pretty lame and no substitute of reality. Nothing like the real deal. Better schedule instead a night date with a zombie and take notes.

Tried this - I found the smell of rotting flesh off-putting, and the constant attempts to bite me tiresome.
It was also a little embarrassing being thrown out of the restaurant because my date got it into her head that our fellow diners were on the menu.
I concluded that I should have removed her head or destroyed her brain, rather than attempting to enter into an emotional contract.

Well, yeah, emotional contracts with zombies never work out well. Actually, and in the end only one thing matters. How was sex?

But Nixola, do it with a dead don't mean that was with a zombie. If you want that kind of stuff you should check Nekromantik movie series.

What we are looking for is Zombiphilia ;)

She turned out to be a big stiff.
I said "Hey baby, you want to make a scene in public? You're entitled. But that's my department!"
