I played the level yesterday, and I really loved it. I hope you finish this game. The concept is VERY good and original, the characters are very cool and well designed (although I don't really like their "big" versions, when choosing clothes), and most of the basic game engine looks finished. Some music and sound effects would make a big difference for the next demo.
My best wishes for this project.

The idea was to give him something, the beetles can cover short distances quickly, in your "window", in limited circumstances.

Re: Herbie & Jamal
Development has been a bit slow lately but we're finally back with an update.
Here's what's happened since last time:

Here's what's happened since last time:
[ 28-29/01/12 ]
- Added ability to set custom resolution from video options menu
- Player now has a red X above their head when standing near an entity they can't interact with
- Added ingame overlay for showing elapsed time and alarms left
- Added falling-through-floor animation when being caught 3 times
- Added bathroom stalls
- Players now have separate keys.
- Partially added main menu. We're not sure what it should look like, but this is what we have right now:
- Added some music and sound effects
- Robots now blink when seeing you.
- Added "Sound options" menu which allows you to set music and sound volume independently
A lot of the time has been spent working on a map editor. It's pretty horrible but it sort of get's the job done. Updated .love: rob-2012-02-25-2105.love

You can disable the FoW (but it's cheating. ) by pressing F5. Don't know if that makes the game playable.hryx wrote:Hay-soos this looks rad. I wish I could play it but my onboard card doesn't support framebuffers.
Other controls can also be found in the README.

This looks really great so far. Keep up the good work.
I couldn't find (albeit I also didn't look that hard) the map editor on the GitHub. Was just wondering what GUI library you used.

The map editor is made using Java and Swing. And God, do I despise it.MarekkPie wrote:This looks really great so far. Keep up the good work.

The editor is on a separate repository. And it's the most horrible code ever conceived.
