What's your favorite LOVE creation?

Post by Wrinkliez »

Hey doods. I thought it would be nice to have a nice little appreciation thread :awesome:

What's your favorite love creation? Whether it be a demo, a game, a proof-of-concept, whatevz.

Not only would it be nice to get some appreciation going, but it could also be cool for nubs to look at the thread to see what LOVE is capable of... can you dig it?

I'll go first!!!

I've always enjoyed Fistful of Beef :D Not only do I give props to the devs for using the top-down perspective, but it's actually
pretty fun :3

Thanks :3.
I've personally always liked Ten Second War and GunFu Deadlands.

Though recently, while reading Maurice's blog, I stumbled upon this gem: Ortho Robot

Oh I completely forgot about the stabyourself games! Those dudes are doing exciting things, man. Not only are they creating genuinely interesting games, but the guys even keep a pretty regular blog.

Not Tetris 2 is fantastic--I love that game. If you're reading this--go play it now!

Plant game, hands down winner.

Though 10 second war is really great too.
Dull but sincere filler.

I would say Mari0, but I checked the website yesterday and there doesn't seem to be much more progress since last time I checked. I hope Maurice is just on vacation and not abandoning it. It's too awesome to let die.

:o Really?... I'm honored. Thank you.
Earliest Love2D supporter who can't Love anymore. Let me disable pixel shaders if I don't use them, dammit!

My favorite love creation is "hardoncollider", the collision detector.
It really makes life a lot easier.

For nostalgia, LóvelyBigPlanet. It's neither polished nor finished, but the ambition of it was great (AWOS was also ambitious, but it lacked progress. At least LBP is playable).

I'll pick the source code Ninja vs Samurai. The cleanest, best organized code I've ever seen so far in a LÖVE game.
When I write def I mean function.
