How to make .exe

I have a small game I am planning on releasing soon, and in order to release it to people who don't have love 2d and lua installed on their computer, I need to release it as some sort of .exe file. How is this done?

Keep in mind that it will still throw errors for people who do not have certain DLL files. You may want to distribute those along with your executable as LOVE can't bundle them into the exe itself.

What other dll files would be needed? These are from Lua itself?

DevIL.dll, OpenAL32.dll, and SDL.dll. These are the libraries the Love executable needs. They're in your Love folder.
Earliest Love2D supporter who can't Love anymore. Let me disable pixel shaders if I don't use them, dammit!
Lenovo Thinkpad X60 Tablet, built like a tank. But not fancy enough for Love2D 0.10.0+.

Well this post is only two years old.


I am getting an error that says I cannot run this game because it is a differen't bit or something. Can someone please help me out? It's for the Ludum Dare:P

Did you made the exe in another computer ?
LoveDebug- A library that will help you debug your game with an on-screen fully interactive lua console, you can even do code hotswapping :D

I think it is because the dll files are for x86 not x64, which is what you have.
